But what you're finding is typically what you are coming

00:04:37And if you don't get out and help those people, they're going to continue on in their life probably not getting the results that they need to get, because you will not get out there.

00:04:49And so it's all part of the process is that you've got to get out there and you got to put the bait out there before they figure out that you're the person that can help them.

00:05:05What do you want? You have got to quantify this in your business. So if $100,000 is your Baseline, if you get $100,000, let's say you're aiming for 1,000 fans to pay you $100 in a calendar year That's your goal - $100,000.

00:05:27That's a baseline. Will $100,000 allow you to attend all the conferences you want to attend because if it isn't, you have got to raise the number. Can you buy all of the other courses you need to buy?

00:05:40So if you're going to Pod, can you buy all of the of the premium podcast courses. Can you buy all of them? If you're making a $100,000 will that allow you to buy all those courses you want to attend and all of the sessions?
-
00:05:58If it doesn't you have got to raise the number that you're aiming for.

00:06:01Can you support your lifestyle? In other words if $100,000 will allow you to support your lifestyle, the lifestyle you want.
-
00:06:14Then fine. 1000 x $100 = $100000 is fine.

00:06:20But if it doesn't, you got a raise that number. Can you generate this kind of income without going to work 24/7 ?

00:06:28If you can't, you have got to raise the number that you have got to get.

00:06:35Understand? 1000 True fans x $100 is a baseline.

00:06:39You have got to back into that number though, based on where you have to be to do what you want to do. Make adjustments and factor in what your number will be and then start looking at your product line.

00:06:54And this is where it's going to start to hurt you a little bit, but you have got to start looking at what you're selling.

00:12:31I thought to myself, "Man I don't feel like paying $1997 this guy."

00:12:34The fact of the matter is, if I decide I'm going to be in Kindle

00:12:40And even if other people do it cheaper, what does it matter? What does it matter? What does it matter? if you will get what you need and go through the process and nail it down and get it started

00:12:56It's not going to matter.

00:12:58You will not care that you paid, whatever you paid for it in another year or two. I call this the library versus the bookstore, and I think it's a great example.

00:13:06I sometimes will go to the library.

00:13:11When you have an overdue book, it could cost you a quarter everyday. Sometimes I would go and I would get all these books and bring them back home and forget about them and end up paying a fine.

00:13:25And, you know, with all the money I paid in fines they could give me a brick at that Library.

00:13:29What I'm saying to you this? You know, if I had just gone to the bookstore and bought the book I would have paid less than I would have paid in fines and I would still have a book.

00:13:39This mentality of, I'm going to save all this money and I'm not going to pay what everybody else paid.

00:13:51I'm going to save a bunch of money and I better get it free.

00:13:55All you're doing is you are delaying the process that you have got to go through that in order to grow your business. And you know what? I'll tell you

00:14:05this, so it doesn't matter if Wishlist membership works for me and it doesn't work for you. What matters to you is that it makes sense to you.

00:14:13If the thing that makes sense to you costs $1997, right? Let's say you go to a presentation you look at it on the site and and you know you can get something

00:14:24else cheaper because somebody else teases it and it cost less.

00:14:27But this guy or this woman makes sense to you and if you know you need it for your business,

00:14:32Don't try to get it free versus getting it. If you know it's going to help you, right? That's what I'm saying.

00:14:38You need to put together the number on based on this.

00:14:43What is the average price products sell for in the ones like yours? Look at your funnels, look at what you want to produce.

00:14:50Here's a question you have got to ask

00:14:53whether are you affiliated or not. How many front-end sales is it going to take to get to your number in a calendar year? Divide that by 12.

00:15:04Divide that number by 30.

00:15:10That's what you have got to do everyday.

00:15:11And so, basically, when you start thinking of things in that way, when you get to your first threshold

00:15:19This is different than saying, I want to make an extra $10,000 a year

00:15:24I want to make $500 monthly. Those numbers do motivate you, and they will help you focus, but these numbers will help you focus better. If you can come to this number

00:15:35You have to come to this number and now here's another number

00:15:40What kind of conversion rate that the products that you are working with convert at?

00:15:50If you know that the products that are going to get you this typically convert at about 10%. You what that means? That means then that you either have a certain number of affiliates.

00:16:06and you also going to have to have a certain number of people in your list.

00:16:12It's not rocket science, it's Math.

00:16:13If you will do this math.

00:16:16How many site visitors are you going to have? This will tell you how many people you need to be trying to get on your list

00:16:22And how many people and what you're going to do to get those people?

00:16:28If you had not gone through this thought process

00:16:34This will change you. You need to be thinking through these Frameworks

00:16:38Because if you do not measure what you are doing it is not going to change.

00:16:59You need to be on the telephone quite frankly.

00:17:03Some days you need to be planning on going to the next conference. You know, you might say, I don't want to go to Russell Brunson's Clickfunnels conference.

00:17:15I don't want to go to the traffic and aversions, I don't want to go the JVZoo.com

00:17:18That has nothing to do with anything.

00:17:20What matters is

00:17:22How else are you going to meet the JV's you need to meet in one place? Are you going to meet them all by being on the telephone all day? Or are you going to spend $200,

00:17:33go to Florida and go shake somebody's hand and find out if they'll be willing to promote for you or if you can do something to serve them.

00:17:41It's a different is a different calculation and maybe it's worth getting down there to that conference to meet some of these people as opposed to saying, "I don't want to meet new people, they're all jerks."

00:17:56I'm just telling you everything that's happened to me up from say 2013-2017, happened because of a conference I went to.

00:18:13I didn't know anybody and when I go to these things,

00:18:36But you know what? The few people that I get around to talking to, it matters, it matters every time I go and the last conference I went to

00:18:56Every one of those people invited me to promote their product.

00:19:00Every one of those people didn't interview with me and help me to promote their products.

00:19:05I'm just telling you all this stuff seems like it's not going to be worthwhile but I promise you, if you will think differently about it, it will help you.

00:19:15Now last thing. What are the obstacles you have got to overcome?

00:19:20So, nobody is going to tell you what your obstacles are going to be.

00:19:23But you are going to face at least one immovable obstacle in all of what we're going to be doing and you are not going to be able to go to a YouTube video to figure out what to do. Right?

00:19:35You going to have at least one immovable obstacle, some things are only going to work because you are absolutely determined to make it work.

00:19:45Now, I know a number of people when they when they first get started with internet marketing.

00:19:49They have have this tenacity because they're trying to get to a number and then you know, what happens is they start promoting things and it starts to work.

00:20:04Then they start making some sales and it starts working.

00:20:08You know what happens? The determination in them goes away.

00:20:14The fire goes away because you know what? The worst thing that happens to them happened.

00:20:20They had success.

00:20:21I think it was in the movie, The Dark Knight Rises.

00:20:25Where Batman throws a punch. Bane catches that punch.

00:20:34Remember what Bane said to Batman? Remember what he said? "Victory has defeated at you."

00:20:40In other words, you're soft now.

00:20:42You started winning and now you're soft and you have got nothing to fight me with.

00:20:48That's what happens to us when we start to have a little bit of success. Victory defeats us.

00:20:54Some things are only going to work because you get determined that they're going to work.

00:20:59Some things are only going to work because you figure out a work around.

00:21:02Not because you found a YouTube video, not because you were in the Facebook group, not because you bought the magic thing.

00:21:18Why? Because you humbled yourself and you said to somebody, " Do you want to do this together? Let's split the revenue on this thing as I'm not quite making it happen."

00:21:29Some things are only going to work because you find the right partnership. Some things are only going to work because you attended an event and met one person.

00:21:36Some things are only going to work because you did that.

00:21:40It will more than likely be a combination of all of these things.

00:21:47What I will tell you from personal experience is be careful that you

00:21:51Abandon one of these to try to get another one.

00:21:54It's probably going to be all these things to help you overcome your obstacles. Don't abandon one for the other one. Do them all.

00:22:01Right, now.

00:22:03I want to close with this, but I think it's fitting that you typically see somebody who got started and all of a sudden they shot and they all the sudden got successful and they stayed successful right from the beginning.

00:22:20Something happened.

00:22:22And so basically, they come back and they say, "You know what? I found an easy method."

00:22:26I'm going to teach you the same thing. You start thinking that I tried what they taught me and it didn't work. Internet marketing sucks.

00:22:35These people are crap.

00:22:36I hate this stuff.

00:22:39I'm not doing this stuff anymore.

00:22:40Okay, I get that. Some things really are crap.

00:22:45But what you are coming across, is the 1%. The people that ,tried something by golly it just worked and then they kept doing stuff and it worked and it kept working and all the sudden

00:23:01You look at this person, and say "This must not be for me because I wasn't able to get in and get started it didn't work for me."

00:23:11That's the 1% folks. .

00:23:13That's the one percent that you're seeing. Here is what happens to the 99% .

00:23:20In 2018 they start working on something, they kept working at it.

00:23:23Then they had a personal crisis.

00:23:25They picked it back up in 2019. 2020 was a pandemic, but they stayed at it but it still didn't work.

00:23:32Late 2020 they start working on it, but it still didn't work.

00:23:34They start seeing a little bit success in 2021 and then by the time you know it, it is the middle of 2021, it started working a little bit, then by the time they got the 2022.

00:23:45Something happened.

00:23:46And really, it wasn't magic. It was just that they decided to stick with podcasts, they decided they were going to stick with Kindle writing and they just stuck with it.

00:24:00And they kept looking looking for work around.

00:24:02They still kept buying stuff and they kept trying to figure out another strategy and another strategy.

00:24:07They kept applying the stuff and all the sudden, in 2022 it worked.

00:24:10That's the 99% that internet marketing working works for.

00:24:16So, don't get, don't get discouraged because the 1%. Why? Because you're not in the 1%.

00:24:25That doesn't mean it doesn't work.

00:24:25You're probably in the 99%.

00:24:28What I'm going to tell you is, "Don't stop working on something and internet marketing because it does not look like the 1%. What I'm telling you is "get help."
